I work out at a circuit-style gym (similar to Curves). I figured this is okay although I am concerned about the resistance component of the workout. I'm unsure whether this could be too stressful for the baby and/or my body. Anybody have any input?? Thanks.

you actually should be doing some weight type of training- let me clarify: exercises that keep your muscles strong. I am not saying to turn into Arnold- smile, but yes resistance training is recommeded . Just depends on what you were doing before. Pilates, weights, etc

I agree with sme! I've been going to the gym regularly now that I moved from warm climate to a very cold one! And I'm lifting weights all the time! Just make sure not to strain yourself...your back especially and watch what kind of exercises you do lying on your back. I know I've had to modify some like the bench press with dumb bells instead. Good luck and keep on working out!

Oh good. Thank you for the input ladies. I have been going to this gym for 9 months now and I am happy that I can continue!! It definitly makes me feel better! Plus I know it should help with weight-loss afterwards!

It will totally help with keeping you in top shape now ( well pregnant top shape:) ) and after. Good decision.
I too have been lifting weights for years, and could not imagine not. I love it!!!
Great chatting ladies- good luck with everything.
