Does anyone know about golfing while pregnant. I'm 6 weeks along and can't wait to get out on the courses. Is this safe?

Golfing doesnt really require physical exertion, there's a guy carrying ur bag, u ride along in a cart. just listen out for "fore" u should be ok. Go wild!

I would like to know the same thing. I wont be riding in a cart, and noone will be carrying my bag! Just worried about the twisting of the belly.

You should always consult your dr for the final word but a__suming your preg is normal (not high risk) you should be fine. Most books says non-contact sports are okay. Golf is def one of those.

Michelle I am sure you can get a guy to carry your bag and a cart while pregnant. Some guys are so sweet to us, while pregnant.

O.k. I find the answers so far to be pretty annoying. First of all golfing for an hour (if walking and carrying bag) can burn about 350 calories. So an afternoon of golfing is GREAT exercise, pregnant or not! There's no need to worry about the twisting motion hurting the baby. Just be sure to stay hydrated and protected from the sun on those hot days. And towards the end of your pregnancy you might find your swing becomes a little less graceful. But other than that you should be able to get out there and enjoy!

Well the doctor said it shouldn't be a problem, since I've golfed before. She said I might get some back pain, but to stay active, so I can't wait to get out there. Once the weather gets nicer that is!
