My wife has a resting heart rate of 90 beats per minute is that dangerous or unusual?

I have a higher resting heart rate also not quite as high but in the 70's my trainer before I was pregnant said some people have a higher rate naturally. If your concerned about exercise I'd check with your doctor.

Do an online search on normal resting heart rate during pregnancy. 90bpm is just fine. For anyone, it is going to vary with their body and fitness level anyway. During pregnancy, your heart rate might be 20 bpm faster than pre-pg anyhow just for being pregnant. Women's bodies are pumping more blood than before and pumping blood to another human life. 90bpm really seems just fine. Mine is also 90bpm while resting often. And then, by just standing up to walk a few steps to the bathroom it might jump up to 120bpm. Still normal. Normal to have erratic rates due to the exertion being pregnant puts on our body. But if you are concerned, have your wife talk to her daughter for rea__surance.
