Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anybody does any high intensity aerobics - if so, how long did you do it for? I thought if you could jog using the bouncing motion - you could still participate in some high impact aerobics using the same motion but keeping all the moves safe ie. not doing any star Jumps or twisting etc. Any thoughts?

Lisa - I am continuing my spin cla__ses 4 days a week. I am currently in my 14th week. However; I do keep an eye on my heart rate all the time. I use a heart rate monitor and make sure that my heart rate stays 135 BPM and under. So an aerobics cla__s could be high intensity --- but with modification could be safe. Whether I was pregnant or not --- I always modify my workouts. If not, I get injured. Also, speak to your doctor - it is always good to check.

Thank you for your response Michele. You're right. I've since modified a few moves and when I asked my doctor she said it's fine as long as my heart rate is kept to a minimum. Phew!

Hi girls..I 23 weeks, still jog the same way as I always used to,/just quit for 2 weeks at start of pregnancy for fatigue).I dont check my puls, because I believe your body tells you when enough is enough. If I couldnt catch my breath,or felt dizzy, heart pounding ect..I would stop. My doctor says ..as long as it feels good, do it. Imagine how fast your heart races when U have s_x....so if U can have s_x U can do cardio as well!
