Since before I found out I was pregnant, I've been so lazy. I don't walk hardly and tell myself I will every day. In fact I just took a 3+ hour nap for no reason. I haven't even done a thing today. Any suggestions to combat this horrible laziness? It's not fatigue -just plain out lazy. Thanks

Exercise is supposed to make labor easier (I've heard) I'm on my first so I can't tell you from personal experience, but I do know that I have very minor backaches (when I have them) and once I got past my 1st trimester, actually had some energy. I'm at 28 wks now and have no swelling, heartburn and other than my obvious belly, don't seem to have gained much weight elsewhere. So, I could just be REALLY lucky but, no time like the present, start walking. You'll feel better in the long run.

Thanks. I know. I walked some this past week. I'm finally coming out of my extreme lack of energy slowly.

I'm just like you!! I'm only at 24 weeks and I'm so worried about my laziness. This is my first and I've gained already about 35 pounds... Everyone tells me I should walk more and eat healthier but it's extreamly hard. I havwe a brand new treadmill and never use it but not because I'm tired, because I just look at it as too much work. I rather be resting on the sofa.

I was extremely tired in the first trimester, so doing much of anything was out of the question. I gained a lot of weight, so in the second trimester I started walking a lot and I felt great. I found that listening to music while walking made a huge difference, otherwise it's just boring. I also have a dog, so she was motivation for me to get out too. Since being in my third trimester, my activities have gone WAY down and I am gaining a couple pounds a week. I have symphysis pubic dysfunction, so if I do too much activity, I pay for it the next day by barely being able to move. Doctor told me to do aquajog, but I hate being in a pool, so I've just been a bum. I've been paranoid about all the weight gain too, but so far, all my blood pressures have been great and I've had no complications, so my body must be handling pregnancy (and decreased exercise) pretty well!!
