I usually run on treadmill for 50 minutes a day, at the pace of 6+mph. I also did sit up, stair-master regularly. Since I won't see an OB/GYN until 8-12 weeks in pregnancy per OB/GYN' office' policy. I jut find my pregnancy through a home test.
Can you share your experiences with exercise in first trimester? It's hard to slow down my exercise, and I am hesitating my regular routine at the gym could be harmful. Any advice on what's safe? Whether I should continue running, or switch to some other safe/slower exercise?
Thanks

I am 35 weeks pregnant and I have been running my whole pregnancy, you might have to slow down towards the end because, trust me, it gets much harder on your joints to run full speed ahead but jogging is fine. Sit ups are ok too, my doc told me not to use the ab machines at the gym because most of them have weighted resistance.. basically I was told to trust your body and stop when you feel too fatigued or uncomfortable.

I am also a runner. I have been running since elementary school but as soon as I got pregnant I got horrible abdominal cramps. I had to switch to life cycle and walking on an incline. Your body will tell you if the baby doesn't like what your doing.
