Strenuous Exercise In Pregnancy

I am 7 weeks pregnant.
I usually do a bit of sport - jogging once a week, playing netball once a week and occasional mountainbiking.
So i'm probably averagely fit, but no super-athlete.
I did a cycling race over the last weekend and got a bit carried away and probably pushed much harder than I should've. I certainly couldn't talk to someone while doing the cycling, and I was a bit sweaty afterwards.
It's spring-type weather, so I don't think I overheat or anything, but i would guess my heartrate probably went higher than it should have.
This burst was only about 30 minutes long.
Would this be enough to cause any problems or abnormalities with my baby???
I don't think I realized the damage I could do at the time.
Please advise?

I think you're probably fine. I think the heart rate thing is just a guide, with little to suggest exceeding it will actually mean a problem. I worried too after I went for a long run in my fifth week and felt slightly feverish a few hours later. Now I am just listening to my body carefully and backing off if I feel at all strange. Ask your doctor but i think it would be very unusual if there was a problem from your 30-minute "burst."
