Silly question....I enjoy freestyle swimming and that involves me holding my breath for a few strokes, will that hurt my baby now and throughout my pregnancy? (I'm 5 weeks pregnant)

Actually, most docs will reccommend swimming as a form of exercise for pregnant women... it is low-impact, and works many muscle groups. Completely healthy... if you are concerned about your baby being oxygen deprived, if you're not deprived, neither is your baby. GO FOR IT!!!
