I don't use chemicals to clean my house, but I have started swimming in a heavily chlorinated pool 3 times a week for about half an hour each time. My skin smells like chlorine, even after I shower after having a swim. I wonder if this is having any harmful affects on the baby. I am 23 weeks pregnant. It feels good to get some exercise - and I am wondering if the benefits of exercising outway the dangers of the chlorine.

That's a good questiong! Never even thought of it! Would love to get some answers too, because otherwise, swimming is a great way to exercise when pregnant.

i don't think it's a problem, as a red cross swim instructor for instance we have prenatal cla__ses for moms looking to get some easy excersize that won't put too much stress on their bodies. But i went through my handbooks and never saw a mention of worries about chlorine.
