A few time now I have went walking around town shopping with my husband; for about 5-6 hours so we walked quite a bit and up and down stairs at the subway and the terminals and everything. After a while I would get a tightening acrost my belly and it was kind of be uncomfortable, this is normal right? I'm not over weight and I was in pretty good shape before getting pregnant but I just want to make sure. I know my Aunt used to make my mother walk 2 miles everyday when she was pregnant but she never said anything about what I am experencing?

How many weeks are you? This is normal if it happens even at home. Otherwise, take a break from constant walking and don't exert yourself too much.

I would check with your doctor. Perhaps 5-6 hours of walking is a bit much :) I walk about and hour and a half a day and I feel great and I know my doc said there's no problem with a lot of walking. But you may be exhausting certain muscles when you're on your feet for that long.

I normally don't walk that much at all..I take my dogs out during the day and I feel fine. I think I must have just done too much. We were in Seoul and everyone walks... it's too hard to catch a cab there really. I feel okay and stuff not, no reactions or anything like that after, just that night. But the next morning I was OK and felt fine.
