I just wanted to know how much weight all the smokers (who quit) gained during their pregnancies? I am currently 15 weeks and I feel I have probably gained more due to quitting smoking. I know I can lose this weight after the baby is here, but I guess I just want to know that I'm not alone.
Thanks

I lost seven pounds in the first 16 weeks, then gained two at 20 weeks, and I'll go to the doctor on Tuesday (I'll be 24 weeks) so we'll see what I've gained. I'd say maybe three or four pounds, so I will be at my pre-pregnancy weight. I quit smoking when I was six weeks along and haven't had a cigarette since. I have made sure that I drink tons of water and eat healthy and I also make sure that I don't eat when I'm bored. Congrats on quitting! ;o)

I'm 30 weeks and quit smoking about 3 months ago. I was underweight when I got pregnant, but I have gained 45 pounds so far. I'm not sure if part of that is from quitting, but I've been real worried about my weight lately. How much have you gained?

@ 15 wks I had gained 11lbs. I have since stopped weighing myself. I'm a person who obsesses a little over my weight, and I know that weight gain is part of pg so why stress over it. I told my Dr. not to tell me unless it's becoming a problem. So far, it's good not knowing, I don't really think about it that much since I'm not getting on the scale all the time. I don't have the hand obsession anymore from quitting, so I'm not eating like crazy anymore. But I wish I could have been more careful in the beginning.
