ok, i know a lot of you are going to yell at me for this question so please don't critisize, i'm just curious! Have any of you used any kind of colon cleansing pills while you were pregnant? i've used them before i was pregnant and i realize the fat loss is pretty temporary unless you totally change your eating habits. i read these natural kind are alright to use. i already know that you PROBABLY shouldn't. But for how far along i THINK i am, i have gained WAY too much weight and i guess i'm just considering options,i won't know if i am actually further along until my ultrasound next month. For now im trying to change my diet and start jogging a little again.

I would say NO and NO jogging either. You should definitely talk to your doc. Relax, you only have less than 1 year then you can get back to Your normal routine.

I'm not freaking out, it was just a question if anyone has used them, if you read it. i think i seen a post on here about them before but i don't remember.

I haven't used them, but you might get the result you're looking for with a fiber supplement. Benefiber I think is one that you just mix in wth your water, and you can't see or taste it.

Why no jogging cShell? I am 7 months pregnant and I still jog dailiy. Anyway, I wouldn't use a colon cleanser while pregnant. There is NO fat loss with those things, you can ONLY lose fat with diet and excercise and it isn't recommended that you actually attempt to lose fat while pregnant. If you have gained too much all you can do is try to maintain for a while by eating helthy and excercising. I have been working out 2hrs a day 5 days a week since day one and my baby and my weight gain has been healthy. Just ask your doc about what you can do.

I took about 1/4 teaspoon of colon cleanse at 2-3 months preggo to get my bowels moving.

You arent supposed to use a colon cleanse while pregnant because what it is doing is getting rid of the toxins but it can get to the baby. It would be like feeding a bunch of poisenous toxins to your baby. Hopethat made sense

I asked the same question and the answer I got was NO b/c 1) it can make you feel pretty yucky, which will make a already miserable pregnant woman even worse & 2) It can start contractions. Whether either of these is true, I don't know. After I have my babe, I want to do varies cleanses to rid my body of the toxins it's occ_milated over the years. But those detoxes are soooo expensive in the health food stores!!!
