I've been trying to look into that myself as my husband is keen to start a family and I want to continue kata training.
From what I've been able to find out so far it's ok to do work 'without a partner' which I take to mean kata and basics are ok but later in your pregnancy you will need to watch your joints and not hyperextend or lock punches and kicks because hormone activity aparently can make you more prone to injury. I haven't been able to find out anything about stances yet though. I'm concerned about wide stances like shikidachi etc and whether I can keep up my normal stretching routine so I'll be interested to see if anyone else has anything to say.
I hope this helps. Good luck with your pregnancy.

I'd speak to your instructor if I were you. Tell them you're pregnant(if they don't already know), and see if they still think its safe. I don't see why it would be bad unless you "over do it". Good Luck. Oh.. and I'd ask your doc about it too if I were u.

hello there!!
Yah! i think it's ok, you can do karate for your exercises. but not too intense because some of the movements many not be suitable for a pregnant, you can also consult your doctor on that matter or just try to visit this link for your guidelines..
