Lifting Heavy Things

ok, it's my first time being pregnant and my doc told me not to lift anything heavier 'than a textbook.' I'm definitely listening to him, but am not sure what kind of workouts I should be doing then. I go for long walks, and do some easy biking, but am not sure what else. I was thinking of swimming or yoga. Also, I have a tear in my abdominal wall, so I'm not supposed to really use my abs if possible. If anyone has more suggestions, I'd appreciate it -thanks :)

swimming, yoga, and walking are the best types of exercise during pregnancy, they don't cause strain on the abdominal area

Hi L, I am just curious .... did your dcotor give you these recommendations of lifting due to medical reasons, and the tear in your abdominal wall? My doctor gave me the big green light to continue my heavy weight training and training- of course with the recommended guidelines. Just wondering.
