One word, Pilates, this is an awesome workout, especially for the abdominal muscles. There is a postnatal pilates workout with Sarah Picot thats wonderful. With this you should be back in shape in no time.

Hi Kerry, It's been 17 months since I gave birth and I'm still having some trouble with the last 6kg. I found just lifting 2kg weights has helped me to get definition and some weigth loss. I can tell you though stress keeps the weight on. I've had to resort to eating salads and fruit not that that bothered me. I exercised limitedly when I was b___stfeeding only doing 30mins aerobics after feeding. Idon't think there really is an absoulute answer here just do your best don't be hard on yourself and my downfall not getting enough sleep. I know this will help to as crazy as it sounds, lack of sleep slows the metabolism. goodluck

im sure there are lots of women who have lost weight while b___st feeding. Just check with your doctor about excercise limitations, and what is safe to do, buy a supportive bra, and get moving. I'll be in the same position as you in a few more weeks

I JUST FIND OUT LAST NIGHT THE IM PREGNANT , HOW I CAN LOSE WEIGTH BEING PREGNANT?

You shouldn't lose weight while preg. It is not good for the baby. Talk to a doctor asap

I just ate heathy and dare I say never had a craving for anything. No I ain't joking, I think 4 months of morning sickness and 13hr work shifts (I was the boss with no staff that would work for me) would turn anyone off food. I ate breakfasts of cereal and fruit, sandwiches for lunch and fish, chicken or pork and vegies for dinner. G I was disgustingly healthy. I put on 16kg that way and I walked up three flights of stairs 3 times a day. Cheers Carol

How about light weight lifting with 30 minutes cardio (like walking or elliptical trainer). Weight Watchers (in Canada) adheres to the Canadian food guide. I have never been pregnant and am ttc right now but I think exercise is your best bet (if you have time). My Mom lost 26 lbs when she was pregnant with my brother as she was on weight watchers, obviously monitored by the doctor but my brother is now 23 and perfectly fine.

I DON'T EAT ANY VEGGIES BUT I EAT ANY KIND OF FRUIT , WHAT DO THING I CAN DO? I ALSO HAVE MY VITAMINS PRENATAL THE MY DOCTOR GIVE ME.

If you could start eating some types of vegies your on the right track. Fruit is great, but adding vegies and soe form of protein is ace. I know it can be difficult so try adding simple vegies like carrots potatoes and beans if you can't juice them with fruit. You can't even taste them and you get the extra vitamins for bubs. Fruit on it's own isn't enough and make sure you add folate tablets to protect bubs from spina bifida. Cheers Carol
