My girlfriend and i are both 17 and not really intrested in having a child right now but, right now were not sure if she is pregnant or not shes missed a period and is late for her second so far. shes taken three pregnancy tests and has had 1 positive answer and 2 negative answers. is there anyway to lose the pregnancy without abortion. im not talking of killing the baby in any way and if its not possible. we wont attempt it. we dont plan or wish to hurt it in anyway we just dont know what to do. shes very skinny already about 5'4" and only 95 pounds if she lost weight would she lose the baby?

First of all, if your girlfriend had a positive pregnancy test she is most likely pregnant b/c there are not many false positives. There is nothing you can do to "avoid" pregnancy at this point as it has already happened. Anything you do now would be unhealthy and unsafe for both your girlfriend and the unborn baby. If she is late for her second period she is probably about 8 weeks along, and needs to get into a doctor. Do you have a support system--parents, good friends, counselors--they will be important now. It may seem really scary now, but once you plug into a support system you will realize things arenot be as bad as they seem.

I would suggest she see a dr or Planned Parenthood clinic to confirm and date the pregnancy. Both places are the type that will give you your options without trying to persuade you one way or the other. There really is nothing you can do to end the pregnancy on your own. If you choose to abort your safest option is to do so through a dr's professional care. Please help take good of your girlfriend during this period. Her hormones are already fully engaged in pregnancy work, and it will a arollercoaster ride no matter how the two of you choose to proceed with this. I wish you both good luck, and healthy choices.

To answer the other part of your question, no, losing weight will not get rid of the pregnancy.
