I have always been very active - playing squash, running, doing the occasional pilates etc. However, i am about 5 weeks pregnant now (I think - i only found out today) and on Saturday when I was running my br___ts hurt so much that i wanted to stop. Ok, so is running ok and does anybody else have this painful br___ts problem. And is pilates ok if your pregnant? what kind of exercise should you stay away from. And what kind of exercise bra could help with the br___t-pain problem?

You need a good supportive sports bra, and if running is too painful then dont do it. Running is very high impact, and probably not best when pregnant esp in later stages. Other exercises you can continue as you normally would. :) Yoga is great for your muscles and toning up all those stomach/other muscles you will need for the birth and gain you some core strength. Swimming is good, walking, 'light' weight machines in early stages is okay, pilates is good... consult your Dr if you are worried about anything though, and if your b___sts are too senstive then dont do that particular exercise. xo

Hi Shog, I'm 6 weeks pregnant and have the same symptoms. I can't even run up the stairs without hold my b___bs. I heard that walking and swimming are great throughout the pregnancy. I would take it easy for the first few months when the risks are higher.
