two words.......hydration and genetics. You need to stay hydrated inernally and externally.......and if you have inherited good skin (elasticity) then you will have a better chance at not getting stretch marks.

I'm on my 3rd child..My first and second I used a stretch mark cream called Mothers To Be..It works really good..Haven't got one stretch mark on my belly yet..The Palmers CoCoa B___ter workers really good..But I recommend Mothers To Be..

I never used anything and I have no stretch marks on my stomach... I did get them on my hips though.

Drinking lots of water and exercise works wonders! I got a 3 month-old and no stretchmarks anywhere on my body - I reckon it was all the water I drank and the exercise I did!

sorry to tell you this but they are hereditary. if your mother got them, u will too. this is what my dr. told me. some women have that stretchy skin and others get marks when there skinstreches. so no matter how much b___ter or stretch cream you use, you will still get them
