is it ok to run on a treadmill during your pregnancy and if not during which month should you stop

Prior to pregnancy, running on the treadmill was my fav exercise. My doc told me not to anymore, but for specific reason ( which may not apply to you ) I run very fast (6-7mph) and for at least 45 mins. My doc said it is not good to get your body so hot during pregnancy and also to not raise your heart rate that much. He also suggested that there was an increased risk of falling off, as we get bigger and our balance starts to go off a bit. So, now I walk, or jog, but no running. I would ask your doc.
