i am 20 weeks pregnant with a boy! and i have already gained 30 lbs which is excessive but it doesnt seem that it helps even when i work out and eat healthy. alot of the weight came in the beginning because i was on the atkins diet where i lost 30 lbs and now i gained it all back.any suggestions or comments to what i should do or at least feel?

well, just be prepared to gain a lot more.

g- If you are exercising and eating right, and still gained 30lbs in 20 weeks.....my guess is that the dieting messed up you metabolism. You absolutely NEED to eat carbs while pregnant (of course, healthy carbs), so I would save the atkins until after delivery. whenever you diet, and restrict your food intake in any way....you metabolism will slow down, so it is more sensitive to the change in diet on top of being pregnant. dont worry...for now. Just concentrate on your little boy and take care of yourself.
