3bfns Provera Blood Test But I Feel Sooo Pregnant

it will b 10 weeks tomorrow since my last period. ive taken 3 hpts. all 3 were negative. i went in today and did a blood test, waiting on the results for tomorrow. the ob-gyn (who happened to be a male) did not ask any questions and simply just prescribed me provera, stating that i am indeed not pregnant. i find it odd how he didn't bother to ask me about my s_xual history and simply stated that i "indeed" have amerrorhea and thereby prescribed me provera. i'm waiting for the results of the blood test. if i'm not pregnant, other things could be happening with my body, but of course he did not bother to check. besides that, i've been feeling awfully pregnant, worsening with each passing week and no sign of af, and every pregnancy symptom possible. ladies, advice, suggestions, insight, please...

ppl offent miss there period, if it keep's saying negative then your not pregnant....but good luck if you are and i hope the pregnancy gose well

Okay I happen to disagree with Charmy and lean tword the fact that some pregnancies ONLY show thru blood tests. Yes its true that sometimes you dont have a period for some odd reason, but also some pregnant women don't produce as much of the pregnant hormone needed to show positive in a home pregnancy test. Also IF you find out that you are not pregnant I would be seeing a different doctor to find out why you are not having a period that can be a sign of other more serious problems.

Also one more thing, if you get that blood test back and its results are negative I would request and ultra sound. That way you and your physician know for sure.

Get a new doctor! my sister in law was 5 months before it was noticed....nothing came up on blood test, they even put her back on the pill. they never did an ultrasound, if they had they would have seen the baby!!!! they thought she had cancer and all this other stuff! hang in there.

Hi Ceno,
I did 2 hpts bothe were negative. My b___bs were hurting and I felt pregnant but thought i was going mad as how could 2 be wrong. In the end i peed into a gla__s and held the stick in the pee rather than trying to aim for peeing for 5 secs on the stick. It cam back possitive so try this. We arae now expecting our first bundle of joy in September. Good luck!
