I'm 27 years old and have been married almost eight years. At the end of last year was the first time I've ever gotten pregnant after years of trying. I had two miscarriages at the end of last year. One in August, I was 12 weeks and the second in November, I was 8 weeks. My doctor put me on birth control pills and told me to take them for at least three months. Yesterday was the last day of my pills. My husband and I are both terrified that if I get pregnant again we will loss that baby as well. But we desperately want a child. Does anyone have any advice? If would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Dragonfairy, a similar thing happened to me. I had 2 mc early, one at 6.5 wks, the other at 5.5 weeks. I'm not overweight, I eat and drink healthy, don't smoke etc. I had loads of tests done and they showed up 'normal'. Then I went to one doctor who suggested I might be insulin resistant. I did that test which came up positive. It means that there's a hostile environment for the embryo to grow (too much glucose in my blood). Now I'm taking metformin to lower the bloody sugar. Hopefully I'll become pregnant naturally, but if not then I will try IUI as I'm sick of TTC now - 2 yrs, 2 mcs, I just want to get pregnant and keep it!
Good luck and let me know if you also have the test.
