Im sorry to say this but if no heart beat is detected and you are starting to bleed it is more than likely a miscarriage. Any sevre cramping and bleeding during pregnancy is NOT a good sign and it usually gets worse. Did you have a HCG test? When I had my miscarriage I was suppose to be 11 weeks and 1 day but a u/s showed a fetus that was 6 weeks 6 days with no heartbeat and the sac showed signs of deterioration. My HCG levels were extremely low. I had only bleed enough red blood to soak my panties and than it switched to minor brown spotting minor cramps and I still had mild nausea and sore b___bs. I thought I was still pregnant and their might have been hope, the dr's wanted to wait and redo HCG tests and do another u/s before they started to discuss a D&C. My body had recognized the baby had pa__sed and nature took it's course and no D&C was needed, its devastating and I will never forget. I wish you the best threw your trying times and I only offer my story as a way to let you know you are not alone in a trying time as this. When my cramping and bleeding became more severe I started pa__sing clots the size of golf b___s, just a heads up on what might happen as I was scared to death. I lost my baby May 15th 2006, my angel was due December 3, 2006. I gave my angel a name "Alex" and found when I cried, and I still do, when I call my baby by it's name a feel a little more at peace because my angel has a name I can grieve for. hey meganm...i was 9wks, went in for check up and they detected no heartbeat...i did not bleed cramp or nothing, i still had all of my symtoms and i thought he was wrong so i went to get a second oppion and thats when i started to accept the fact that i lost my first pregnancy ever...im 28...i had to go in for d&c on aug,11 and i still have had no period...

Hey. I lost my baby two weeks ago. I went in for my 12 week scan and there was no heart beat. They also said my baby only grew up until 8 weeks and 3 days. I had bleeding and very bad cramps. I ended up pa__sing baby normally but had to go through for a d&c to remove all the remains of conception. It's an aweful thing to go through. But what i found to help was i got a copy of the ultra sound and framed it so that my baby is always there to look at. We also gave baby a name. Forever my wee angel, Skyla. All the best hun x

Hey megan i have had the same experience its my first pregnancy and i went for an early pregnancy scan and my doc sayd i was about 9 weeks but i got told the baby looks as if its stopped growing at 6 weeks but then im thinkin i might have mixed up the dates and i can only be 6 weeks they coodnt find a heartbeat so ive to go back next week for another scan but im scared should you hear a heartbeat at 7 weeks? someone please help :(xxx
