Hi, I'm 9 weeks pregnant and I found out that I was pregnant because I had an unusual 23 day period. My doctor made me get an ultrasound to find out shockingly that I was 8 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Then when I hit 9 weeks, i felt a gush of blood leaking from my va___a. The blood was bright red and when I went to the washroom there was blood clots. I went to the ER to check out the problem thinking for sure that I had a miscarriage, but when I did my ultrasound the baby was fine with a regular heart beat and the doctor said that there wasn't anything wrong. The doctor also did a pelvic check and there was no signs of any issues. Right now I am very worried that there will be problems with the pregnancy, because I heard the doctor say that this pregnancy might be abnormal. Should I get an abortion before it's too late?? Please help?

Hi Anna,
Thanks for worrying about me. At this moment it really means a lot. I really appreciate it.
Like I said I had an ultrasound at the hospital and everything checked out to be fine. The baby has a normal heart beat and there seems to be nothing wrong, but I don't understand why I am still currently bleeding. Its not bright red like the time that I went to the emergency, but I've been having brown discharge from that day on. The brown discharge still hasn't stopped, but I don't feel any cramps or pain at all. I'm starting to feel really scared.
On top of all this stress, my family doctor won't refer me to an OB ASAP. I talked to the secretary and she said none of the OB's are taking anymore patience and the ones that were accepting new patient I have to wait till mid November. WTH? I took the situation into my own hands and found a different doctor that referred me right away to an OB. I will be seeing the OB next week, so I'll update what happens then..
I actually researched my situation on the internet and many ppl have this problem. They said there's nothing to worry about, but it's just very scary everyday seeing blood on your panty liner. Sigh..... If anybody knows anything about why I'm bleeding still pls let me know. Thanks so much!

tungtung: I recently had a miscarriage. I started spotting on Sunday 10/23 which got heavier throughout the day. I was very worried so I went to the ER where they did a pelvic exam and an ultrasound. The pelvic showed that my cervix was closed (a good sign) and the ultrasound showed a healthy fetus with a heartbeat. I was sent home diagnosed with a threatened miscarriage and told to call my OBGYN in the morning for a follow-up. My OBGYN scheduled me in for blood work to check my hormone levels. 1st round of blood work showed that my levels did rise but didnt double in a 48hr period. I went in again 2days later and my levels began to drop. I didnt experience heavy bleeding but did have blood clots as well as some cramping. It was confirmed on 11/28 that I did miscarry. I hope everything works out for you. Keep us posted xoxo

Hi everyone,
I went to my OB and he schedule me for an ultrasound. Before I can even get to the ultrasound I found myself bleeding early in the morning. My pants were soaked with bright red blood and when I went to urinate something dropped out. I then looked down into the toilet to saw what looked liked a fetus. I was so horrified and was contemplating on whether I should stick my hand into the toilet to pick it up to take a closer look at it, but i decided not to. I screamed in tears and told my husband to take me to the Emergency Room where then I had a blood test done and also an ultrasound. I waited nervously in the hospital for more than 6 hours thinking in my head that for sure I lost the baby, but miraculously everything turned out to be fine. The baby had a heart beat and my blood work seemed fine. I ask the doctor the cause of the bleeding and what he might of thought that fell out. The doctor did not have an explanation for the bleeding, saying that sometimes it just happens.(there was no point of asking!!). Then he said that there was a chance that it was a blood clot that fell out, which I found not believable because I explained to him how large it was and what it looked liked. Obviously being a women I am certain that I know what a blood clot looks like. Sigh.. I am still a bit nervous, but everything checked out ok and the baby is fine. Until now, I am still bleeding. I'm bleeding bright red blood about one pantyliner a day. I dont know what to think or what to do??? Seems like all the doctors that I've been talking to are seriously clueless as I am as of what is happening to me. Please give me advice or further experience of cases that you know that are similar. I just want to get a rough idea so that I can reinsure myself or understand to be mentally prepared for the worse. It just kills me not knowing!! Huhuhuhuhuuhu....

Could you have been carrying twins and have lost one? That would explain what you saw and the fact that you have a healthy baby in you.

Hi Jwiggs,
You know what's funny? That was what I was thinking about too, but I don't know if it's actually possible. I'm going to ask my doctor in my next check up and get back to you on that.

Tungtung: From what I have read that's a possibility although I am not sure your doctor will know for certain.
