Miscarrying Right Now With Lots Of Questions

Hello all, and thanks for reading. I know it's unlikely I'll get an answer in time to help, but I thought I'd ask anyway. I began seeing blood the day before my ultrasound at 11 weeks yesterday, and knew I’d be hearing bad news. They found no heartbeat and told me I would be miscarrying at home soon.
I know that they say the miscarriage is worse the further along you are… so my questions is this: A miscarriage at 11 weeks is said to be pretty intense… but if the pregnancy actually stopped developing at 6-7 weeks, then will I be experiencing the intensity of a 6 to 7 week miscarriage, or a full-on 11 week miscarriage?
I hope that makes sense. Essentially, I’m wondering how bad this will be as far as the bleeding, contractions and ok yes, pain. (Will it feel like labor?? Gosh, since I had an epidural with pregnancies in the hospital, I don't know how bad actual labor pains ARE, yikes! I'm having visions of those childbirth shows,ha!) The reason I'm really asking these things... My husband is out of town on business and I am home alone with my two toddlers until he can return. I’d like to hear someone tell me that it’s bearable and that I’ll be able to care for my children alone while this takes place (I have no other options, as I was being cautious and wasn’t going to share the pregnancy news with others until after I was safe into the pregnancy).
Are there ever situations where there’s an amount of blood loss requiring medical attention, or do miscarriages tend to be somewhat predictable? (I realize that’s a very strange way to put it). I guess if the risk of blood loss was great, then doctors wouldn’t allow this to take place at home.. right? Just looking for whatever input anyone has to give, as I'm feeling faint contractions and tightening starting. Boy what a night I have ahead of me! Thank you. :-)
