Cord Not Supplying Baby End Trimester

my baby died six weeks before his due date. Dr. said cord must have gotten pinched. He was perfect. Nothing unusual with tests on placenta. My first child who is 41/2 yrs. old was losing weight in the uterus, but I cannot remember what they called it. Does anyone know what this would have been called. I just need to try to find out if the same thing was going on with the one I lost. With my first child, the nurse said the cord wasn't supplying him anymore so that was why he was losing weight. Could this have been what happened the second time? Any ideas would help me in my search.
