thanks Mulgajill- I think things are ok- might have ovulated the other day- had a huge dip in temps, today it's up and I had a pos. opk, but kept it in the cup for way longer than should have- could have caused a false pos. We'll see ! Hope you're alright too!

Found the answers to this question interesting! I miscarried (pa__sed the foetus) on 20 March, but had been bleeding for 4 days before that. I had a D&C on the 30th to remove the placenta. I wonder what date counts as the miscarriage, in terms of hormonal changes that I presume trigger ovulation? I felt, shall we say, "amorous" the last 2 nights, which is usually a sign of ovulation with me, plus I had "egg white mucous", at least, I think that's what it looks like - don't usually have it when I ovulate. I did a test tonight, and tested negative, but might be a day late in testing. Will be very interested to see if AF comes in 14 days or so. Nikki

I m/c on March 5 after a sadly short 6 week pregnancy and have been ttc ever since. It is really hard to tell when ovulation occurs after a m/c. Doc said that ovulation would happen in 10-15 days after the m/c. Over the month, I have had 2 occations about a week apart when the fluid was like egg whites. One time the fluid was accompanied with mentrual-like cramps. Do you like that this was the real ovulation?

They say (and I think it happened to me this month) that your body can get ready to ovulate, but for some reason--stress, sickness, travel...your body won't actually ovlulate, so possibly the 2nd time was the real deal.

Hey Nikki, I had a m/c that began on the 22nd of Feb. By reading, I believe it would be the first day of bleeding. And i did get my period 28 days on the head from the onset of m/c bleeding. I did ovulate two weeks later as usual. So go with the one that had the discharge. I have a question.....I have not had my normal ovulation pain and discharge this month. It is weird. I was not trying to get pregnant this last time but since having a m/c have decided they we want a baby so we are trying. Which has rarely occurred that I would try..... So has anyone else had this happen and got pregnant? I am wondering if I have no symptoms because my egg was fertilized right away????? Any ideas???

Never mind to my questions... no one answered them anyway. I got a LH surge and bad pain as usual yesterday so I am ovulating late I guess. I am thinking pink

I didn't wait to start trying. I had a D&C on March 17/05. My husband and I started to try since March 21 and it looks like I might be pregnant again. If I am pregnant, we conceived just two weeks after the miscarriage. I have to go back to the Doctor's tonight for another blood test to check my levels. I had a blood test on Thursday (April 7) and my levels were 75 and the doctor said that if I was pregnant it would have just been in the last week or so. So I am keeping my fingers crossed!!!

I miscarried in dec after 10 wks and had to have a d&c. I got pregnant again after 1 period and miscarried at 7 weeks naturally. Me and my husband have had all the tests done and they have found nothing wrong. We are going to try again this month after 1 cycle but the ovualtion sticks aren't turning and I am on my 19th day? Any anwers? My cycle is 28-32 days. Also, should I wait more than 1 cycle? It was hard enough just to wait the one?

Audrey - I switched doctors mid-miscarriage because the doctor became uncaring when I lost the baby. Never did an exam or anything to make sure I was OK. Seems I might not have been seen as a high money-producer for the medical practice any longer. I had a natural m/c after my 1st ultrasound showed no heartbeat 2/14/05. I was 11 weeks with 7-8 wk old fetus. On 2/21/05 I began heavy bleeding. Lots of bleeding, pain, clots and it continued. My temperature then went up to 103.9 on 3/9! Advils brought it down after I called my new dr.s emergency line. I suggest to everyone to make sure & take your temp. because if it starts to rise, a piece could be stuck. The placenta was lodged in my v____a for a couple weeks. My original dr. wouldn't even come to the phone and said it was unrelated to m/c. Said I can't help you, go to E.R. I had already lined up my 2nd dr., however. My 2nd dr. sc___ped out the placenta and I lived! He said the lodged placenta caused an infection & the next step would've been death. Had my 1st period 4/5 - very heavy but substantial. I'm hopeful. If your doctor and his staff are hard to deal with they might get even worse if you are desperate and in trouble. I had a bad feeling about the first doctor's office from the start because they were so rude from the first day I made the appointment. Nobody deserves to be treated like dirt, especially during the vulnerable time of a pregnancy or miscarriage. My advice is to find a doctor who is willing to communicate and answer all your questions.

Hi! I'm new to this too...I had my first m/c on 4/9. My husband and I are going to immediatly ttc again. I was only 6 weeks, and didn't need a d&c. Just wanted to write and maybe keep in touch because I think this whole process is easier knowing other people have been through it too! So pray for me, and wish me luck! I hope to be one of those ones who has a healthy pregnancy after miscarriage!

Hi everyone, I had my first m/c after 4 weeks pregnant. On 3/25 period was late for 3 days, so i took 3 hpt showed positive. But went to my dr. the result came out negative. The following week had my first m/c, and the bleeding last 7 days. my husband and i didn't want to wait, so we tried it again this month. But since i don't have the mucus like most other women, we just kinda did it during the 14 to 16 days in the cycle. Hoping my period won't come this month.

hi, i had my miscarraige Feb 4th...got my period March 11th (usual was 9th of each month), the on April 10th...so I seems as though my body's back to normal...but i'm not ttc so soon, just want to give my body some time to heal and prepare for the next one...some want to ttc asap, which may not be a bad idea...but get a full check up if you can before you ttc. what may happen is you may have retained material that migth interfere while ttc so soon...but i've heard stories where some women don't even have a period inb/w and get preg and have healthy babies!! so good luck...i'll be trying sooonnn !

I had just had a m/c on 4/18 and I am at the end of the bleeding, I had alot of pain But , i do want to start ttc as soon as possible. When do you count the 2 weeks after your your m/c is over or the day it starts. please help.

JK - April 25

You don't always ovulate mid cycle after a m/c. You may not even ovulate the first month after regular cycle. Every woman is different so I would suggest getting an OPK, which may not be useful before 1st cycle. If you haven't had a period yet after m/c you may get a positive on your OPK because it will pick up the pregnancy hormone hcg. Some women may ovulate 5 weeks agter m/c while others may O 2 weeks. Its hard to say.
