You don't always ovulate mid cycle after a m/c. You may not even ovulate the first month after regular cycle. Every woman is different so I would suggest getting an OPK, which may not be useful before 1st cycle. If you haven't had a period yet after m/c you may get a positive on your OPK because it will pick up the pregnancy hormone hcg. Some women may ovulate 5 weeks agter m/c while others may O 2 weeks. Its hard to say.

Thanks for your help. I plan on starting right away just in case I do start to ovulate. First , Im going to take Preg test to make sure it comes out negative.

I would like to know if it is true if you are fertile right after a natural miscarraige. I had on on April second bleed for 7 days and started trying. Is April 29th suppose to be my period date or what? Please any help with this wil be great.

Dose you HCG level have to go back to 0 again before you ovulate after a misscarriage?

I posted earlier this month not sure when but I was concerned like you ladies. I ovulated on day 17-18 this month and am now 5 weeks pregnant after one regular period between now and m/c. I ovulated on day 14 or 15 after m/c in March.

Hi, I just had a natural miscarriage on March 17th. Well I just found out today that I am PREGNANT again! It's a very bitter sweet moment for us because even though this is what we've wanted, we are still hurting over our last miscarriage & are very nervous. I seriously did not think that I would get pregnant again right away, because I didn't think that I would be ovulating this month since they say that you're period will take anywhere from 4-8 weeks after a m/c. But yup, I sure did, it seems to be that I actually ovulated on cd 16. I just pray that I have a healthy baby & pregnancy this time around, specially since I've heard that there's a high miscarriage rate right now. My hubby & I are not planning on telling anyone until my doctor considers us in "the safe zone" Well good luck ladies & I'll keep you all in my prayers!

yary and gina-congratulations! that is such great and promising news. I am waiting for af to come or BFP on hpt test, havent tested yet, partially b/c i am nervous to find out the result. I want to be pg again so badly and in the same breath am so scared that i will m/c again. I had a D&C on 3/28 and am 4 weeks past and not sure when I would've or if I have ovulated, we have ttc like every other day since 2 weeks after m/c to cover our bases...dont know if we should keep this up until 6 weeks if I havent gotten af. I feel as though something is happening to me though, either af coming or pg, my b___bs are sore-getting worse with each day-not unbearable but with af's they never really bothered me before like this. although I feel crampy-like af is coming. did you feel that even though you are pg? like af was coming? oh and getting pimples too-feelin' real pretty lets just say!

I have the same question, I m/c at 12 weeks. I want to concieve again ASAP, I took a hpt and got a postive pregnant but I am wondering if that is because I just m/c. how long does it take after m/c to get a neg. hpt? Does anyone know?

I m/c on 3/27 with D&C on 3/28 and took an hpt test 2 weeks and 3 weeks later to see if hcg levels would show a neg sign and they did...doc said it would if my levels were down. just an fyi-i have no idea really as to when i have or will ovulate, its 4 weeks now past D&C. I am hoping for a little miracle of my own soon!

When is the best time to get pregnant after a D&C do i wait for a period

I was wondering when do you start to count untill the day you ovulate, the first day you bleed with your m/c or the day you stop bleeding. Do you count it just like a period if it is a natural M/C. thanks

Hi. First, sorry for all your losses. I m/c on 4/15. I use the Clearblue Fertility Monitor and on day 11 post m/c, it says I am having a high fertility day I did have 2 days that did not say high, so I don't think it is a false positive. Last time I got 2 high days and 2 peak days. This would mean I am on pace for a 28-30 day cycle, but before m/c my cycles were 38-42 days. I just think it is interesting. And my HCG was definitely down to 0 as of 4/21/05. So we'll see. Good luck to everyone!

HI STACI! Thank you very much for your response. I would definetly test if I was you, just to make sure because you never know. However, I think that it may be a little different after a d&c & it might just take longer for your period, but once again, I'm not too sure. So there is definetly still hope. For me, my b___st were starting to get very sore & I did get a bit of abdominal cramping, however they were not that strong. So I just tested anyways, which I was totally expecting a BFN however i got a BFP. So it was a pretty big surprise. That's how I guess that I ovulated on cd 16 because my periods are very regular. Always on day 30. So go ahead & test girl! You never know, it's always best to know, then to just keep waiting in anticipation. I wish you all the luck in the world! Remember, never give up!

yary-thanks, I am getting the courage to test, although I am feeling crampy lat night and this morning-thinking af is on the way. I knwo i have always used morning urine but do you recommend taking hpt w/o morning urine? thx

Hi Guys, I took a test at 4:30 pm at docs office only 10-11 dpo and got a faint positive so I would test. I had sore b___sts only one week after conception and I had no idea why. That never happened to me before so I thought AF was coming. So for someone who only has sore b___sts when prego I would test. LET US KNOW ASAP!
