Hi, I'm 25 years old and had a miscarriage last july... just went in to the er for abdominal pain and found out I was pregnant but was ectopic.. the surgery was successful without damaging my tube(mostly pushed out on my own) and now I find out I have a bicornuate uterus! I want to be able to get pregnant and carry to full term but doesn't look promising! It is very heart breaking.. Does anyone have any answers as to if there is a chance and what I can do to increase those chances? Thank you!!

Hi, I was recently diagnosed with bicornuate uterus as well and did some research on it. You can have a surgery done to correct your uterus. I have read many successful stories of pregnancies with women who have had the bicornuate uterus and women who have had the surgery to correct it. This is however a major surgery and healing takes longer. You might want to ask your doctor about it and see what she/he says. I have my MRI scheduled next week to see in more detail what my uterus looks like. Sometimes doctors say you are bicornuate when you actually have a septopic uterus which is much easier to take care of than a bicornuate and takes a minor surgery to fix it. The MRI will tell us which kind it is just to make sure. Regardless of what it is, there seems to be some hope there with corrective surgery. So I am sending many blessings your way ...
