I take Ortho tricyclen but I messed up taking some of my pills. Like, I forgot one night so i took it the next morning and the one for that day at the usual time. I am VERY regular in getting my period, I even know what time it is coming during that day. I haven't gotten my period yet this time and was wondering if I can take a pregnancy test? Will the pregnancy test come up positive anyway since I'm on birth control even if I'm not pregnant?

It's me again, and I found the answer to my own question. I figured I would post it even though I know the answer, that way people with the same question can know as well. A site I found on the internet said that oral contraceptives should not affect the outcome of the pregnancy test so it is okay to use a home pregnancy test and expect the result to be truthful.
