I got my period today - a week late. However, had a faint line pos test on Sunday; and a blood test on monday; told I was boarderline and to have more blood work later this week. Is this considered an early miscarrage?

not necessairly. My older sister usually has her period for up to six months when she is pregnant. Her friend had her period up until the 8th month. You should give it a few weeks and then test again.
