NEGATIVE HPT TEST BUT NO PERIOD

I am now 5 days late. I have take 2 hpt and both negative. I was told today that sometimes if u r pregant w/a boy that the test takes longer to come up positive. Has anyone heard this before? I also just got off the pill 2 months ago. Last month my period came like clockwork, should I be worried that since I'm late that I am pregnant even though 2 tests have come out negative?

I just went off the birthcontrol patch 2months ago and now I am over 2 weeks late. I took 2hpts and they were negative and blood test that was also negative. I don't know whats going on. I wish I knew. Let me know what happens. Good luck!

thank you!! I'm just so worried. I already have 2 girls and went off the pill to eventually try for a boy but not till august. It was nice to hear that it might just be my hormones messed up. Hope all turns out well for you. I will let u know when I hear something. thanks again
