Negative Pregnancy Tests 3 Weeks Late Please Help

On December 25, my boyfriend and me had s_x. We used protection, however some of it leaked out. I was supposed to get my period around the 5 or 6th of Jan., but I still haven’t gotten it. I’m almost 3 weeks late now. I didn’t think anything of it until I started having some pregnancy symptoms. My stomach has a bloated/gassy feeling and I feel full all the time. I don’t know how to explain it. Like when I wake up in the morning, the pressure in my stomach makes me feel full, yet at the same time I my stomach is growling because I have not eaten yet. It’s weird and a little hard to explain. I also feel nauseous all day long. I never throw up though. I’ve only thrown up once, and that was the other day. I just feel like I’m going to throw up all day long, but I never do. My br___ts feel fine though, so there is no change there. I wouldn’t really notice a change in them anyway. Even when or before I normally get my period my br___ts never change. Also my lower back hurts. It’s like all the signs are there that I am going to start my period, but it hasn’t come for about 3 weeks now. I’ve taken 5 home pregnancy tests, all of which have turned out negative. Should I wait it out or wait a few days and take another test, or do you suggest that I go to the doctor to find out what’s going on. Any input would be greatly appreciated

I am in the EXACT same boat as you. My husband and I had s_x on the 22nd and the 27th, not trying to get pregnant, just caught up in the roamance and such. I forgot it was ovulation time! I'm having a lot of symptoms, except for nausea. It's more like heartburn, yet hunger at the same time. I've acutally lost a couple of pounds these last two weeks, yet my tummy is sticking out more! I've taken seven urine tests, two of which were at the doc's. I'm going tomorrow for an ultrasound and a blood test. It's just too much of a coincidence that I realized around the 28th that I had probably ovulated, and now I'm three weeks late! I've been doing some research and it seems that those home tests sometimes never give correct answers to some women. Get a blood test asap. Good luck! Let me know what happens. I'm interested to know if the home tests are just falsely advertised.

Bekah- Thanks for responding. It's nice to know I'm not alone on this one. I'm not trying to conceive either. Yet, at the same time I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of having a baby. I've been reading on here about how women have taken hpt's and that most of them are giving false negatives and positives. I guess it's hard to trust them. Even if one of the tests that I took did say positive, after reading the stuff on here, I would probably have a hard time believing the result. I think I will go to the doctor this week and find out for sure.

I know how you feel. I'm in the same position you're in. I'm three weeks late and still keep getting negative hpt's. I keep telling myself that I'm not pregnant, yet at the same time it's hard to ignore all the symptoms I've been having lately. I'm really tired, have back pains, stomach cramps, I feel full, nausea, and I feel like I'm full of air. I have never been this late before, so I don't know what to think. I thought about having a blood test done, but after reading on here about how women took a blood test that said negative, and then later found out that they were pregnant makes me wonder if they are really accurate. A blood test isn't exactly cheap and I don't want to keep wasting my money. I suppose I will just wait it out. If I don't get my period in a week or so, then I will for sure get a blood test. Best of luck to you guys.
