I stopped the shot Feb 2004 and got my period back in 2 mos. I am not on any other type of birth control because my husband and I are ready for a child. I was told 6 to 12 mos. before I could get pregnant (not with twins though...yikes!) I have had a couple false alarms (late period), but pregnancy tests were always correct (not pregnant). I highly doubt you are pregnant this soon.

Im starting to wish that i never had the depo jab, i stopped the injection 5 months ago and have still not yet had a period my husband and i really want a second child, its only now that im not having the jab and have started to look into it abit more that im finding out how difficult it is for people to get pregnant, ive heard that it can take up to two years for things to get back to normal all i can say is keep trying and if your not happy about things then talk to your doctor, all the best !!

Just some information...it seems like most of the questions are asking the same thing. Depo can take up to 5 years to get out of your system!! If you want to be on depo but want children in the future, it is suggested that you go off the depo on to oral BC for at least a year before you will be ready to actively TTC. I only had 2 shots, didn't have a period for over a year and then had 14 day cycles and 10 day periods!! This happened for a few months. Slowly went to 28 days. I found out that I had not been ovulating, my body would bleed out because my estrogen level would get too high, not a real period. After a year of trying I got to the doctor and am now on meds. If you don't have insurance you can always go to the local free clinic and get a pg test.
