I got my period after a little over 2 months on the depo and i am trying to get pregnant..i took a few tests too after not having my period for that long..but most likely its just a side affect from the shot

hi i was due for my depo on the 17feb never went and had it but now im having all the signs that im pregant done two test both negetive but i just feel like iam can someone help do the test work if depo is still in your system ihavent had a bleed yet either

well heres my story... i am 21 with 2 kids.. my last and only shot of depo was june10 2004... and was supose to go back for another shot end of september start of octoberof 2004... well i am now trying on my 3rd baby.. from what every one says it can take up too a year to as little as 3 moths so what is it.. do u think i am able to get pregnant now??? i hope so... i was geting my period regularly every month up until january of 05... i had my period then for 5 days.... then came feb., march, april... i then got my perod 3 months exsactly later... so i just got off my period on the 29th.... so do u gurls think i can get pregnant now or would the depo still be in me? HELP!! any advise???

hi, i got the shot in nov '04 & then again in feb '05.. im suppossed to be going back next week but i deceided against it bcuz of all the weight i've gained. i've read everyone's posts (took me half an hour lol) and i have alot of similar feelings. My period had stopped pretty much right away. i was spotting the last few months during the week that would be my period. The problem im having now is that for the last month ive been spotting on a daily basis and on some days it was heavier. My one friend who was on depo for 5yrs said that the shot makes ur body think ur preg., hence why many women dont get a period and have all the symptoms. since nov. when i went on the shot, my boyfriend and i have not been using condoms.. and now that im getting close to when i should go again, im having even more signs of pregnancy.. ive actually LOST my appet_te and the scent of any food is making me very nausas.. and ive been having lots of stomach craming, especially around my belly b___ton.. preg. tests are coming up neg. but after reading these posts, i think im going to ask my doctor for a blood test. good luck to everyone!

Yes they can be accurate, I was also unsure about not getting my period but finally on the 3rd month after stopping i got my period, your body is still adjusting to getting off of the depo, its been 3 1/2 months for me and i am trying to get pregnant so i hope im ovulating, good luck to you!

We are talking about trying when my husbnd gets back from Iraq in November. I took my last shot in early March after not being on it for about 2 months. All that happened in those 2 months was very light but constant spotting and at that time we weren't even considering babies. No babies happened in those 2 months either. I am sure that my period would have been close to normal by April had I not taken that next shot (i'm regreting taking it now!!). Just remember you can always have a negative pregnancy test but you can never have a false positive!!

i was on the depo shot but i was sopostue go on april 21 and ddint went to get the shot and they told me i could get pregnant again is it true

Last time I got the depo shot was March of 2004. I am now 9 weeks pregnant and I'm so excited. Good luck to everyone who is trying to get pregnant.

I got the depo shot for two years before going off. i am 5 weeks late and had a faint positive result from 4 pregnancy tests including one from the doctors office. they told me to come back in a week to retest. it took me about four months to get my period after the last shot wore off. even then it was not regular and i often got is two times a month. my qyne office told me that it could take up to a year to get pregnant. i hope it doesn't take that long.

i have been off dopo for 8 months and still no period so dinally my doc started me on some provera pills so we will just have to see

i was on the depo for 4years after having my son came off it last september and started my periods again 25th dec! theyv'e been 25th of every month since, hope this helps
