JUST WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNEW HOW LONG YOU HAVE TO BE LATE IN ORDER TO TAKE A PREGNANCY TEST AND FOR THE TEST TO BECOME PREGNANT?

to kerri-lyn i was 10 days late n i had a very high positive how long have u missed your period u should leave it a least a week id say cus i had done many b4 that and all came neg but got my positive on the 10th missed day, good luck xxx

Well i am glad i found this site. i am in the same boat 5 days late and 2 negative pt. i just started spotting today but no period. i had this with my first son for the first trimester but had a positive pt early. i can't take it help!

I have been ttc for 9 months. AF is usually pretty regular - between 28 and 31 days long. However, this month I am on day 37 and no AF?! I took HPT on day 31 and 36 but both negative (I used First Reponse and another brand (I can't remember). I don't feel any different, but just don't feel like AF is on it's way at all. I had very light spot when I wiped once on day 30 and I know I ovulated on day 21. (Used digital Ovulation Test). I am also charting my bbt and my temps are still high. Usually my luteal phase is only around 10 - 11 days and I always get spotting 2 days before my period but this month I have had none (apart from that one time when i wiped on day 31). Also, last August I had a v____al ultrasound and the doctor said that my womb and right ovary looked fine and my left ovary was slight polycystic - but she said it was nothing to worry about as the right one looked great. Do you think that I have PCOS? Could it come on so suddenly like this? I have never been late before in my life. I am not stressed either. please help!!

Got AF this morning. Kind of pleased really as least it means I can get started for next month. This waiting in limbo land is a nightmare!! The only thing I can think is that this last month I completely gave up alchohol! Do you think that is why my luteal phase is much longer than it usually is (usually was really short)? If so that's a bit scary. Good luck to all of you TTC!!! I am sure we will all get there in the end.

You need to wait a lttle longetr befor your test result would say a true answer and also you need to make sure your not streesed cause that will also make you late!

well im 15 days late and have taken 6 tests and they all have said neg. i dont know what to do???

Hello I am 20 yrs old and am 1 week late on my period. My b/f of 3 yrs and i are not ready to start a family. I took 2 hpt and both were neg. I am on b.c. and have only missed 1 pill in the last 3 months. I don't know what to do next. I don't think i am pregnant and i hope i am not prg. i would love kids just not yet. I had a hunch that the reason my period is late is because i have been stressed about my new job(moved to a new salon where i do hair and my rent is expensive) i have also lost 16 pounds in the past 3 months. But now i am afraid that i could be preg. Am i stressing over nothing or should i be concerned? please let me know. thank you!!

hey guys after 3 almost 4 months of no period and about 5 negative test and a negative blood test. i finally got a positive home pt this morning. good luck to all of you. keep your heads up.

Nicki...what did you do in the meantime...between then and now...did you continuously test? Is that all that can be done is just waiting until your body decided to produce enough HCG to show on a test? -- I don't know what to myself....nervous that a blood test may not even show it...Did you go about your liefe as if you were preg? - no drinking, medicine, etc.??

T with all the tests coming up negative i did drink and smoke a few cigarettes. i started to think that i wasn't I have been to planned parenthood 3 times and to my doctor. this past week my b___sts were real sore so i decided to take another test. hopefully everything will be fine. I kind of knew I was but after having negative after negative you know that you aren't. this is my second pregnancy with my daughter it came up positive quick. i haven't had a cycle since 8/13/05

Thanks Nicki...and congrats! -- It is just so frustrating waiting...like you said after seeing so many neg you start to believe that even when you don't get af!!!!! I am at the point where I wish I would just get af so that I knew there wasn't anything wrong! Thanks for replying..
