I didnt really have any side effects from the tablets, i took 50mg on day 2 to 6 and my cycles were normally every 32 days but my first cycle on clomid made my period start on day 41 and a few days prior to this i had strong cramps and clotting, GP advised this may have been a very early miscarriage. I continued to take the next course again on day 2 to 6 and again period did not show on the usual 32 days, with all the will power i had i decided not to test as i didnt want to be disappointed if it was negative, i started getting the cramps again but continued having intercourse every other day, when i got to day 42 i had strong cramps and sore b___sts and a__sumed period was coming but thought i would test with a clearblue digi test and it was positive. I felt fine from then on until i was about 8 weeks when the sickness started and the smell of any food especially meat made me so sick. The clomid is suppose to make your periods more regular but you can ovulate as late as day 21 on it, which is what happened in my case so dont worry if your cycles shorten or lengthen just relax, have s_x every other day throughout the month and keep a diary and dont be too upset if it doesnt happen the first cycle just put that to the back of your mind and start your second cycle and again relax. I bet you cant wait to start taking the tablet lol, as soon as i got it i couldnt wait for my period to start and that was a first. The test results for hubby went to GP some days after, i think you can ring in for them. Keep me updated and if you have any questions about symptons etc let me know, I am so positive about clomid as for me it was the best thing to ever happen to me and i hope it works for you ladies too. xx

Hi everyone I was in the same boat as you guys. Negative tests and missed period. I been trying to figure out what was wrong because I was showing all the signs leading to pregnant. My last period was Spet. 27th, 2010 and my period just started today. Don't give up maybe everyone is pregnant. I just know that God has given me another chance at trying to conceive. Baby dust to all.

Hello again, ladies! Just a quick update...my OB and GP have collectively decided I do indeed have PCOS. :( My OB was going to start me on Clomid, but my glucose tests came back high (almost diabetic levels) due to the insulin resistance that comes w/PCOS. Instead, they are putting me on Metformin, which is primarily an anti-diabetes drug, but also works to help PCOS and ovulation...and rumor has it helps you lose weight as well, which would be a nice plus. I'll take that for a few months, and if I'm still not gregnant, they'll try to add Clomid to the mix.
A big thanks to everyone who sated their experiences with Clomid...anyone have similar experiences with Metformin they'd like to share?
Last but certainly not least....don't give up ladies!! And don't lose faith!!!

What tests and procedures did your Dr. do to determine you have PCOS?

She ordered some blood tests, which she called a PCOS Panel...from my understanding, it is basically looking at some different hormone levels. She also talked to me about my history to see if I have any of the physical signs, which I did (including irregular cycles, excessive facial/body hair, and being overweight). They were going to schedule and ultrasound, but felt they could make the diagnosis without one after the blood tests came back.

Hi everyone! I had my last period on September 27th and was supposed to get my period on October 29th. I am now 6 days late with neither pregnancy symptoms or signs of period. I took a test a few days ago and it was negative but I'm still thinking there's a good chance that I'm pregnant. What do you guys think?

Ruoxue--- I would not always trust a HPT you can have a false negative, I would wait another week and take another one.

That's what I'm doing, it's just really hard to wait hehe. My husband and I have decided to start trying to conceive just recently. This is the first time I'm this late and I'm really excited! Of course I should try not to get my hopes up so that if I'm really not pregnant I won't be disappointed. Anyway, today is now one week since my period was supposed to be here. If it's more than one week late, but actually makes it here, that will be very strange.

Anyone taking clomid or prometruim supplement who had regular cycles, did the clomid lengthen your cycle? I still don't have my period, negative HPT,no signs of period and no pregnancy symptoms.
