Do they check your blood for cancer and other diseases when you are pregnant

i think when the dr ordered my blood test it was strictly with the instructions to check for pregnancy. my understanding is that once it's verified you are pregnant, then they will start checking for other stuff- but i would def ask dr. about that a.s.a. you find out about a pregnancy!

NO, except for aids after they know you are pg, and then you sign a consent form knowing that they will do this. you can always ask your Doc point blank, this question without revealing your concerns. This is your patient rights.
