i had an abortion 2 weeks ago, can i use apregnancy test to check if i can still be pregnant?

The whole point of an abortion is to end a pregnancy. Why would you take a home pregnancy test to see if you would still be pregnant? That doesn't make any sense! If you had an abortion, then there would be no reason to take a test. Instead of taking a test, you may want to invest your money in some condoms or some other form of birth control.

The two people who posted earlier responses probably didn't know that it is possible for an abortion not to work and for a person to still be pregnant afterward. They probably thought you had unprotected s_x in the 2 weeks since the abortion and wanted to know if you were pregnant again.
I don't know if the test would help you though. I've read that the hormones can stay in your system 7 weeks after miscarriage and I can't imagine why abortion would be different so I am guessing you could test positive over the next few months without being pregnant. Maybe you should call the clinic or hospital and ask them, they usually give a phone number for follow up questions.
I think it is extremely unusual for abortions to fail though.
