Pregnancy Testsand The Pill

I started on the pill about 2 months ago even tho my period wasnt normal (normal is 7 days and sort of heavy), my next period was very light and only lasted 2 days. I had a pregnancy test done because i've been feeling sick after eating or drinking, my br___ts were sore, tired all the time and sore back, the test came back negative. Is it possible for the pill to stuff up a pregnancy test????
