Hey everyone! I went to my Gynecologist and she took a blood serum pregnancy (qual) test. I got my results back in a letter in the mail that stated my results were "normal." That's all it said. Does that mean I'm not pregnant or what? It had no explanation and I keep calling the doctors and they tell me a nurse will call me back but they never do so I am asking you guys. Please help me if ya can. I haven't had much nausea.. a little but no vomiting and I've had my period early and very light, extreme fatigue and bad body cramps (especially my back) But anyways.. that's why she thought I was pregnant, but has never explained to me what normal meant, so if you know and could help I'd appreciate it. Thanks!!

normal probably means negative. the qualitative test just says yes or no. If your hcg is above what is considered a yes, usually 25 or higher then the test is positive. So I'd say if it was + you would probably get a call not a letter. I would suggest a quant_tative test since it tells you the exact amount of hcg and anything above 5 is usually considered +. So you could be pregnant but if your hcg hasn't reached 25 yet the test would say neg.

Have you taken a HPT? If not, then that's what I would suggest. Just go buy one from the store (I recommend Baby Test for Dollar General for only a dollar) and see what it says.
Good luck.
It's strange that the test would say normal. It should say positive or negative.
