Hi, I'm 36 and had one previous m/c and I'm about 5 weeks prego. My dr put me on progesterone gel. Does anyone have any comments on this? I'm very nervous about having another m/c...Thanks! :)

Hey! I am waiting for July 20 or 21 I am a little irregular. I don't know what to think. I am 36 yo and recently married, but we knew kids would have to come soon because of my age. We have been trying for 3 months now. I wonder sometimes if I am reading too much into the things going on with my body! My nipples itch like crazy! I can say that on here...lol I feel nauseated almost all day long and I am exhausted. Oh yeah! And I burp like a sailor! I was pregnant once before and had a m/c...I burped a lot then, too. So I am holding out hope. I am going to try to wait to test...I tested today and very faint pink showed...or was that my wishful looking? So, Friday the 22nd I will try again unless AF shows her ugly head The waiting is so hard.

Are your b___bs also very tender? You sound preggies to me! Let me know..and good luck!

My b___bs are not overly tender. They are sore...but on the sides, not in the middle like usual (or if my chihuahua jumps on them they hurt!) I am just scared I guess. I want to be and part of me says "Oh Dear God! My life is going to be so different!" So part of me wants to be in denial.
Karen I hope your amnio went well. PLease let us know. My OB sat me down when I talked to her about my fears and told me that actually more women my age are having babies now and gave me the stats on all the possibilities and they are all less then 1%. So I wish you well...please let us know how it went.

Elena, that feeling of "Oh God, my life is going to change so much" is a very normal feeling to have...and believe me it changes drastically, but it is worth it!!!!! You will not believe the love you feel when you first hold your newborn! Wow...so unreal! Let me know your results please!!! Kari, enjoy your ultrasound - it is soooo exciting! Keep me updated and best of luck!!!!

Kari, you probably know all this already, but just in case - this is what i found out about the gel: "Progesterone helps prepare the lining of the uterus in case an embryo arrives and implants in the lining of the uterus. After an embryo has been implanted, progesterone helps maintain the pregnancy until the placenta is able to provide its own hormonal support.
Some women's bodies do not produce enough progesterone on their own. In these women, the endometrium does not develop the thick, nourishing lining needed for pregnancy. As a result, an embryo cannot attach and get the nourishment it needs to develop. Crinone® 8% provides the progesterone the body needs to help support a pregnancy." Seems your Doctor knows what he/she is doing! All the best and keep me updated.

Just read a bit further and saw some safety precautions! Go to this site: www.fertilitylifelines.com/serono/products/crinone/index.jsp. Raise any concerns with your Doc. Good Luck!

AF arrived this morning...darn it! I am sad. But I will keep trying. I think I keep looking for signs and making them more than they are. Maybe I should just stop trying so hard. I got out and worked in the yard this AM and felt a little better. I have jusy always wanted to be a mom. I was married before and told my ex when I was 26 that I wanted a baby...my running joke is he went out and got one...she was 20. Now I have found a wonderful guy that would be such a great father and I am so sad each month when I get AF. I think I put too much stress on myself.

Elena - DAMN, DAMN AND DAMN AGAIN!!!! Sorry to hear about AF! But although it is sooo disappointing and frustrating, we have just gotta believe that there's a reason behind everything! I don't know how religious you are, but I believe that God has a plan for each of us and your baby will come when the time is right....YOU RIGHT - DO NOT TRY SO HARD. I have heard so many stories of people giving up trying and hope and wallah - they have a bun in the oven! All the best and keep the chin up. Kari, look after yourself and I'll pray for you and your babes - I am sure he/she will be fine!!! :) Till next time...
