lgraywolf - That was EXACTLY what happended with my incision, I had this huge skin flap. Look into it though, it only cost $700 to fix. It does not require a full b__wn tummy tuck. I thought it would cost thousands. When they quoted $700, I was like "I'M IN!!" and I had it done 4 days later. I am really happy I did too because at that point I was pretty mad to have no baby and and disfigurement instead! This is gross but they cut a 8' x 3" x 1" (deep) chunk of skin out and sewed it up tight. They did it in the doc office - no hospital required and pretty much no pain. Just stinging the day after and that went away really fast. And yeah, a b___b job is very tempting as each time I get knocked up, they grow and it's pretty exciting, and then they deflate (lol).

MelissaK -Did you see a specialist for the cosmetic surgery? Are you happy with the reconstruction? I’ve been very upset about my incision. I already had excess skin because of previous pregnancies, that my children made fun of all of the time, but this is just really ridicules. Nothing like a lump in my pants when I want to wear a nice dress or something.

lgraywolf - This is what we did. We got the name of a Plastic Surgeon from our OB. We called and made an appointment with "the newest a__sociate in the office." He was 35 and fresh out of school... lol! BUT, his rates are 1/2 the cost of the premier a__sociate as the new a__sociates need to build their practice. AND, being fresh out of school, they are VERY good at simple procedures like this, they just spent 12 years in med school alone stiching day in and day out. The older a__sociates don't even close these days. So look for a plastic surgeon in your area on-line. You should see some local news articles about them and from that research ascertain if they are any good. From there, make the first appointment which they will charge you about $100 for. If you move ahead with the procedure, they credit this original $$ into the overall cost of the surgery. They do this to keep only serious patients from coming to their office. I was not down at all, I was gardening within 2 days. I am still VERY happy I did it./ Ihad what was called an overlap of the "camping fascia." It sounds like the same thing you have and my incision is flat now and very very thin. It should be nothing in one years time. One last thing, the Plastic Surgeon said to come on back to his office after we get a C Section (if we ever get there) and he'll do this procedure again and I'll have a totally flat belly! I'm in!! I still can't believe the cost, I had expected like 5k.

MelissaK -Wow, that’s very informative. I can tell you do your research. Thank you for the information. Now I just need to talk my husband into it. When in May is your birthday? I’m going to guess it’s the first half. This is my new research project for the weekend, you know, something to keep my mind busy.
