I dont know about the 3 boy thing as I have a girl and a boy, but I am 41 and I concieved after 5 months and we were not charting or anything. I miscarried end of July but am now trying again. There are women on this site who got pregnant the first month of trying who are older than us, so good luck and much baby dust to you.

We have a friend in her 40's who has stopped after her 5th boy was born. She wanted a girl too, but it never happened. Have you considered adopting a baby girl who needs a loving family? Good luck to you :)

Hi Robyn, I'm so glad to read this question, and that I'm not the only one who is thinking to have another baby. I have one now, he's 11 months and I'm 43. I think I'll have to decide soon but the Dr. gives me the okay thus far. It does take alot of engery and that's what is holding me back. I don't know if we have the energy for 2. Best of Luck to you! Ps. I got pregnant with this baby in just a few weeks. I don't know how that works either, I think every baby is different, that's my guess.

As far as the question about the length of time it would take you to get pregnant if you opted to try for the girl...everyone is different. Did you have any problems getting pregnant with your sons ?

Hi Robyn, I am also 41 years old. I got pregnant the first time we tried. I used an ovulation kit (it's called Maybe Baby, you put a small amount of saliva on a little microscope). Worked well for me ;-) Good luck!

Hi, been hoping to find some other woman in a situation such as yours. Though I have stopped at 2 boys. They are 11 and 7 1/2 now. Got preg on 150mg clomid w/ first one and no meds with last one. Did have preg. loss ( at 12 wks) before both of my live births. There's a strong male factor in hubbys family. Thus the fear of trying for a girl. I desperately want a girl. I am 39. My last Gyn check up was a couple weeks ago. We've not used any birth control in over a yr. I think I'd like to go back to clomid. What should I do?

Yes I do love my children yet somehow feel a lit_tle girl would totally round out and complete this family... . Guess I am being selfish. . dunno.
