Wow, missed my period 7 days ago and took a home pregnancy test ( yes positive). I have two children 10 and 13. My feelings are all over the place. I am excited, concerned, scared and yes worried about what other people are going to say. I have not told anyone yet....... first step is to see my doctor. Any thoughts?

Of course your feelings are all over the place - YOU'RE PREGNANT!! I hope this is the beginning of a wonderful new and exciting year for you and your family. And, as I have seen in other posts - you have two built in babysitters! Don't worry about what other people will say or think - most of the time people are thinking of themselves - and if they do think ill of you then it is better that you surround yourself with people who really do care about you. Keep us posted - I am 43 and trying to conceive so you give me hope! I really and truly wish you the best! - Nancy

Congrats to you!!! Like the others said - don't worry about what other people say. I am 45 and ttc and have had some people say some pretty cruel things about my age and wanting more children. Thank you for sharing on a post, because it gives the rest of us 40+ ladies some hope. I wish you 9 months of joy and happiness. Are the other two children excited?

You are not alone!!! I just have gone through everything that you are experiencing right now. I'm 38, and have an 11 year old son and 9 year old daughter. I was in shock, started having a panic attack when I found out. I admit that it's not what I want in my life right now. I felt so embarra__sed, and scared. When I tlod my husband, he was upset, the kids were in shock. I am 3 months pregnant today, and we feel so blessed, excited and motivated (however, I still feel a bit scared). On Dec. 27 I had an ultrasound for the Nuchal Test and we saw the baby for the first time, now I'm in love!! I know that this baby was destined to come in our lives, and that it will be very lucky to have 2 older siblings that will love and cherish him/her. Don't worry about what people will think, you can do this!! The third one's the CHARM! Congratulations! My email is m_mangas@hotmail.com if you want to keep in touch.

I am 45 and eight weeks pregnant. We were pretty stunned as I had just had liposuction two weeks before we found out I was pregnant. I wanted to get rid of the last of the belly fat from my previous pregnancy. My daughter is 2 1/2. I had her one month before my 43rd birthday. Before my daughter was conceived we were told by a Stanford Hospital fertility expert, Dr. Lynn Westfall, that our chances were not good because of my age and inability to conceive all throughout my thirties. We were going to try everything, but before we started any of the treatments I ended pregnant with my daughter! We can't even believe that I am accidentally pregnant again at 45. We're hoping everything works out. Tamra

Well, I am 45 and pregnant again too. I had my last child 15 months ago. Thought he was a miracle. Now I am 12 weeks pregnant. So far everything is great. PEople, Well what can you say about them.. Their first reaction could be tough, but if they love you it won't matter. Really it doesnt matter what they think. If you and your hubby are happy, who cares. I also have a 21, 17, 15 year old. How that's for starting over........
