hi im karen, im 46 ive always started my periods28 days regular without fail, now i find im 4 days late, have all the symptoms of pregnancy but took a test and was negative. is it just an age thing and should i just give up hope of trying or could i still be pregnant . thanks.

Hi Karen, My name is Kathy. I am 45 years old. Similar thing happened to me, My test didn't show anything 2 different times. The 3rd time, showed positive. I am now 13 weeks pregnant. I do believe is God wants us to have a child, he will lwt it happen. Maybe, wait a few days and take a different test. Good luck. Hope things go your way....

I had good luck with First Response...some say get the one that clearly states pregnant, not pregnant...

Hi karen
My name is Denise and i just across your question and felt the need to respond. cause believe it or not im in the same situation right now.. in dec ill be 42 yrs old and i think im pregnant again for the second time i took two test and they both came out negative.. how ever i am late and i do have alot of the symptoms.. so i got first responce and im gonna take the test again in a couple of days and if it still comes out negative then im goin to the doctor for a blood test and to see whats wrong.. ill be prayin for the both of us cus i would like a new baby as well good luck!

The digital test that reads pregnant or not pregnant actually requires a higher hormone level to get a positive. The First Response test that you can use up to 5 days before period is due is VERY sensitive. Gave me a positive a week before my period, when the digi still read neg. Good Luck!

Why not? Cherie Blair got pregnant for the 4th time at 45. A friend of mine had a healthy first baby at 46. So you may well be.

Hi Karen, My name is Bronwynne Ann. Iam 47 and have all the signs to being pregnant, having a scan soon. I have done 2 tests both showing negative, but still have signs of bloating, nausea, sore b___sts/nipples. dizziness and fatique, and inplantation bleeding. I am hopeful, as even though I am 48 in 18 more days, I believe that what will be will be, and a baby is given to us for a reason no matter what our age. God wants us to have this gift he puts with us, so enjoy, as you will find the older you are the more patience is given to us to cope with this little bundle of joy. Good for you!!!
