Re does not seem to concerned right now and will recheck it in 2 weeks but I am wondering if anyone else has been told that the placenta is sitting low and if so did it move up and did you go on to have a healthy pregnancy? Thanks in advance for your responses.

Yes ~ don't be concerned yet at all. I had a low lying placenta (never heard of that in my life) still at the 20 week ultrasound. Doctor said they were not concerned yet, as it usually corrects itself at moves up in the next few weeks following. They set up a 28 week ultrasound and yes, the placenta had moved up. Hope this helps. Certainly don't be concerned this early. :-)

Ditto what Terio said - mine had moved up by week 20 - was told to restrict lifting, excessive walking/jogging/ s_x. I also bought one of those pregnancy belts from Motherhood and wore it everyday - nurse pract_tioner suggested they had had it help encourage it to move up.

I've known 3 girls who started out this way and all 3 had them move and went on to deliver without a problem.
