Well I did not concieve this time unfortunately. Perhaps on round 2 of clomid I will. I did ovulate however. It is just that I got a yeast infection the same day. Has anyone else had a yeast infection caused by clomid? I could have cried when I was told my chances were slim. My period is due Saturday but I have tested negative for pregnancy. :( I ended up having no symptoms at all btw. Not even after ovulation. Well except I had O pain for the first time in my life. It was exciting! Baby dust to you all. perhaps next month will be the lucky one

To Stephanie, I'm 36, yes I got pg on the first go (while recovering from tonsillitis!). 15 weeks tomorrow. I got told to take at night to sleep through worst side effects (!) but only noticed a bit of shakiness. Luck to Kelly. :-)

I am 35 and took clomid almost every cycle for a year and a half. Most of the time my side effects happened the two weeks after ovulation--crankiness almost every time, and hot flashes sometimes, and very sore b___sts. My dr. did an ultrasound at the beginning of each month, before prescribing clomid the next month to make sure there were no cysts--a couple of times I had cysts that delayed my period, but then resolved on their own. It's not good to take another dose of clomid if you have a cyst, so these ultrasounds are important. I got pregnant once and miscarried, and now am 26 weeks pregnant and everything is going fine.

I am 37 and tried for 1 1/2 years to get pregnant. I took clomid and got pregnant on the first cycle with no side effects. I am now 26 weeks along. Good luck, I hope it works for you!

Hi Kelly, I'm doing the clomid route too. Maybe we should make a thread for us clomid girls that are over 35. That way we can follow along with eachother's progress. Congradulations to all you over 35 pregnant clomid girls!!! Hopefully I will join you soon!

No *cry* Nothing yet. I am 9 DPO so I have my fingers crossed. The Doctor said if not next month then he is taking me off of them (will be third cycle) as he said that for some women who can ovulate naturally, it sometimes impedes conception. My lining and everything seems fine though and I am not getting side effects (except the odd hot flash this week). Here is wishing all of us luck ...*runs around sprinkling baby dust on everyone*

Hello all...I'm 34 and am on 2nd cycle of Clomid (50 mgs days 5-9). I'm taking it for LPD, as my progesterone dropped off after ovulation. Pre-Clomid cd 21 (7 dpo, but only 23 day cycles) progesterone came back 1.5!! I haven't found anyone else pre-menopausal with as low to date...Scared me...Anyway, Clomid cycle day 21 resulted in a level of 37.9!! That's about the level for second trimester pregnancy! Talk about extremes. I did develop a cyst on my first cycle of Clomid, though. There was no missing that I had a cyst...A lot of pain...The Dr thought maybe appendix, but I knew it was a cyst. So, went for ultrasound & sure enough, there was a cyst & the good news was that it had already ruptured, which is why there was such a spike in the pain. I’m crossing my fingers cycle #2 doesn't cause another. Dr says if again, Clomid isn't for me. I did get some headaches, hot flashes/flushes, and in later cycle-night sweats. Anyway, I'm on cd 10, so ovulation s/b soon, and the possibility of another cyst...I’ve been having sharp pains on both sides, so paranoid I’m developing another one (or two). Progesterone suppositories are my next option, since that's appears to be my only issue. Cross your fingers no cysts for me...And maybe even a BFP?? Baby dust to all!! :o)

I too am currently taking Cloimid. This month was my second cycle and my dosage is 100 mg days 5-9. I was very optimistic about the possibility of this drug helping me to conceive but I'm not sure if it is working. I am tracking my BBT but so far it never spikes as my OB says it should if I am indeed ovulating. Has anyone out there conceived with Clomid in spite of irregular BBT temps? Good luck to you Kelly!

I'm 28 and trying for my second child. I took 50 mg of clomid on cycle days 3-7. I had a few hot flashes from it but it wasn't nothing too dramatic. I thought I was having a panic attack though. But realized it was just a hot flash remembering that I seen hot flashes were just a side effect. On day 12 of my cycle I started to have slight pains around my ovaries. It wasn't nothing too harsh..but it was an uncomfortable feeling. Right now I'm on day 15 of my cycle and took a OPK just to see what it would say and on day 14 It was Positive! I did this B/C my doctor has me taken my BBT and this is my first time doing this B/C with my first child I got pregnant right after coming off birth control. So...since I was uneasy about the BBT I took the test and from he pains I was having sure enough I was Positive ! I feel that the Clomid is def working! I'm having really sore b___bs and feeling tired. I pray on the 29th my husband and I find out were Pregnant! Baby dust to all!!!!

I am in the middle of my first cycle with Clomid. I'm 33 and the mother of 3. My husband and I have been trying for over a year without success to get pregnant. My problem with Clomid has been the pain during ovulation, which just started today. Besides that, I've had no side effects whatsoever. It's so strange to have been able to have 3 kids without drugs, and now have problems getting pregnant. As far as Clomid goes, it's a shot in the dark because my doctor put me on it without doing any tests to see if I was not ovulating. I have had disrupted periods in the past, but have been quite regular lately. I guess we'll find out soon what my problem is. What are the chances of a multiple gestation pregnancy while on Clomid?
