Any Pros And Cons With A Tubal

Hi there, I am going to be having my 4th baby soon via c-section and have been trying to decide whether or not to have a tubal ligation. I have heard stories about post tubal syndrome. My dr seems to think its more of the issue that these woman have used borth control pills and now are expereincing their true cycles versus the fact that the tubal has made changes to their cycles. Any stories to share?

hey love my 3....as you know I had mine tied after Josh......and now I regret it so bad because I want another.....as far as the periods and such my bleeding is ALOT heavier........ cramping was about an 8 on and scale of 1-10 but now maybe 1-2 I have no need to take anything for pain now ..........it is shorter where before it was 6-7 days now it is heavier but 4 days and it is over ....so I don't have any problems with the bad side effects that I was warned of ....and up until josh died (well for 3 weeks or so) it was nice not being interuppted during s_x to think about did i take that pill or whatever as it has happened to us before....now I wish i could be one of the ones that gets pregnant with tubes tied.........we are going in March to talk to Dr about reversal.......just think about it long and hard and as hard as it is to think about (and trust me it is hard ) what if something happened to your baby would you want to try again???? maybe wait a few months and decide then (after baby is born) best of luck to you

Hey Punkin, Thanks for sharing that with me. I did specifically think about you and Josh. Big hugs to you. You both went through my mind. I can't say for sure what I'd do. Cuz my issue is number of pregnancies cuz of multiple sections. 4 and then maybe 5. Also, with my past preeclampsia issues and my age. I'd be 40 turning 41 beore I could try again. Its been a tough call, but I think I'm going to do it. My biggest fear is losing the baby and having them done, but then for me its number of pregancies and that risk factor. I hope yours reverse well for you, you have been through so much, I think and pray for you often, much love, xoxox

Lovemy3 thanks you so much I miss talking to you guys the thread isn't as active as it once was....I still check in but it is so hard to hear this baby is rolling over, sitting up, getting a tooth or whatever......it hurts so bad....I cried myself to sleep last night thinking about him......and I want another sooooooo bad and I am nervous it wont work....but I have been told by several that my Dr is the BEST for a reversal and that other Dr in the area send their pts to him for reversals because he has good history of pregnancies after reversals.......take care and talk to you soon

Hi Punkin, Thats sounds like a good dr with good results. It must be very hard to hear everything that goes on. I am praying for you...for this reversal and future pregnancy, and for healing in your heart. I really am. Big hugs.
