Are Girls Born Later Than Boys

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and expecting a baby girl. A friend was telling me that girls are always born late. Is that true?

I don't think that is true. Both my girls were born at 36 weeks and my son was at 39. I have never read or heard that before.

Thank you for your reply. It makes me feel so much better since I have 3 -5 more weeks to go.
I worry that she is stll high and that might make her late.

My first daughter was 6 days early and my 2nd was 5 days late. my son was 10 days late before we induced so... good luck.
